Shauna Established The Lavallee Centre in 2006, and has been practicing massage therapy since 2001. After a family member was diagnosed with lymphedema Shauna became a Vodder certified Combined Decongestive Therapist in order to assist with her care. Shauna was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley. Shauna offers Massage Therapy and Combined Decongestive Therapy and specializes in Lymphedema Management.

Andrea Burde

Andrea enjoyed a lengthy career as an orthotherapist before becoming a registered massage therapist. Andrea is trained in craniosacral for adults and children and is currently acting as a teaching assistant during various craniosacral courses. Andrea is a Vodder certified Combined Decongestive Therapist and enjoys working as part of The Lavallee Centre’s Lymphedema Management team. Andrea is also a Reiki Tummo practitioner.

Natalie Mooy

Natalie is a native of Ottawa and moved to the area in 2006. She has been practicing massage therapy since 2001 and became a Vodder Certified Combined Decongestive Therapist in 2008. Natalie is a member of The Lavallee Centre’s Lymphedema Management Team and also practices, reflexology and Indian Head Massage. Natalie is also a Reiki Master.

Lorna Perry
Certified Mastectomy Fitter

After an career as a nurse in Pembroke, Lorna became certified as a mastectomy fitter. She has been with The Lavallee Centre since it was established, and has helped hundreds of women with mastectomy products.

Kelly was born and raised in Petawawa and became certified in esthetics in 2005. She joined The Lavallee Centre team in 2009 and has quickly become an integral part of the centre. She maintains the highest of standards in her practice and has enjoyed partnering with Dermalogica skin care due to their philosophy of on-going education. Kelly truly loves what she does and that is reflected in every treatment that she performs.

Kim is a native of Newmarket and moved to the Pembroke area in 2008. She has been practicing Massage Therapy since 1998 and brings a wealth of experience to The Lavallee Centre team. Kim enjoys offering deep tissue, myofascial release & sports massage and is particularly effective in working with results oriented clients. Infant massage for torticollis is of particular interest to Kim, as she believes that early treatment is the key to optimal results. Kim earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts prior to becoming a Massage Therapist and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Abby Gauen
Registered Massage Therapist

Abby is a native of Ottawa and moved to Pembroke in 2010.  She attained her Massage Therapy diploma from Algonquin College in 2008 and joined The Lavallee Centre in 2010.  Abby’s primary treatment goal is to promote a deep level of relaxation while achieving her client’s therapeutic goals.  She believes that a quiet reflective environment enhances the massage therapy experience.  Abby also offers Hot Stone Massage.

Melissa Benoit
Certified Esthetician

Melissa was born and raised in Eganville and became a certified esthetician in 2010.  Melissa’s primary interest is promoting skin health and helping her clients achieve a natural balance through education, good habits and product knowledge.  Melissa is currently furthering her studies of skin health and therapy at the International Dermal Institute.

Michelle Flay Smith

Michelle is a native of Cobourg and moved to Pembroke in 2009.  She attained her Massage Therapy diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming in 2004 and joined The Lavallee Centre in 2009.  Michelle brings with her a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience.  Michelle particularly excels in dealing with clinically difficult chronic conditions.  She also offers Hot Stone Massage.
