For many women,
wearing a breast form is a comfortable and natural way to
restore their silhouette or regain symmetry following a
mastectomy or lumpectomy. Lorna Perry is a Certified
Mastectomy Fitter with The Lavallee Centre, and former
nurse. She is trained to assist women in choosing a breast
form that helps to restore a positive body image.
The Lavallee
Centre carries a wide variety of breast forms and bras to
meet the needs of all women. Some of our products include:
partial breast shapers, featherweight foam breast forms,
weighted foam breast forms, bra extenders, bra pockets,
shoulder cushions and waterproof breast forms.
In addition to bras, The
Lavallee Centre also carries post-surgical mastectomy
clothing such as bras and camisoles. We encourage women to
speak with us about the options available to them following
mastectomy surgery.
Personal
consultations are offered at no charge. Products are largely
covered by OHIP and extended health care plans.
Fashionable head scarves
are also available to order.
Bra Boutique: We carry bras for every woman. Improperly
fitted bras can cause neck and back pain, problems with
posture and chronic discomfort. The Lavallee Centre has a
specialized Bra Boutique that can properly fit women in
casual, athletic and everyday bras to ensure maximum support
and comfort.
Bathing Suits: We also carry bathing suits by Amoena sizes
8-24.
